ABSTRACT
The rapid development in technology has facilitated human beings in many ways like automated home appliances, smart engines for vehicles smart mobile phones, laptop computers and tablet computers. The use of such technology oriented tools and techniques has been continuously increasing in our daily lives to facilitate day to day work. The trends in the technology have focused on finding approaches towards improved learning techniques. Personal Computers (PC) are one of the new and innovative tools used for enhancing
Learning skills. This research has been conducted in five primary schools or Shaheed Benazir Abad district of Sindh, Pakistan , where students of class nursery to class three learned basic lessons using Tablet PC. ln this research an application has been developed using android platform with easy to use interface, where the students were able to perform simple arithmetic calculations and learn alphabet of Sindhi and English languages in visual form. During the experiments, it was observed that with visual aids students understand lessons more clearly and easily. This research has also focused on the analysis of effective use of technology and its impact on the
attention, attitude and understanding of students in the primary education through usability tests. Questionnaires from the teachers and students have also been con ducted which have produced positive results and findings towards the implementation of IT tools in the primary education. Overall the students and teachers have had quite positive feedback for implementing the Tablet PC technology in primary education. This Shows that the Table PC is an Effective means of teaching that provides an active learning environment.
