ABSTRACT
The global electrical energy consumption is rising and there is a stead y increase i n demands of power generation. In addition to conventional grid renewable power generation units are being integrated into the power system. A wind electrical generation system is the most cost competitive, environmentally clean and safe out of the renewable energy sources. Wind energy is freely available by nature this is the reason that new trend of power generation is going towards the wind power system. Power quality is the main issue in power system. Voltage dips are undesirable in power networks .They adversely impact on electrical appliances. The behavior of WTG changes due to different types of voltage dip. It creates the heating problem and damages the appliances. This research presents the clear view about the effects of voltage dip in CIGRE low voltage network due to the balance and unbalance condition of faults. After this research it will be easy to propose an appropriate scheme and control strategies. DIGSILENT POWER FACTORY (version 15.1) software is used for the modeling of CIGRE low voltage network.
