ABSTRACT

The current calamity energy is increasing day by day that cannot be met with conventional modes of energy resources and its utility in power sector. Environmental harms such as global warming, smog, acid rain, water pollution are abundantly created by Fossil fuels. The only solution to the problem is adoption of solar energy in practice that demands low maintenance and possess high level of sustainability. There are several techniques to compose the energy from Solar for electricity production. Most popular and successful method is photovoltaic systems, it is assumed as the clean and secure method of electricity production. Therefore for present and future the photovoltaic is high demanding and utilizing method as an alternate source of electricity to meet and help demand. The enactment of the PV systems is subject to the conditions and factors longitude, latitude and intensity of the solar rays and availability of sun which are the geographical impacts. The impacts like environmental are wind, temperature, humidity, pollution, rain, dust. On the basis of the impacts or the performance limiting factors of the systems system we have considered only problem in this study that is Dust. Because the current published research shows that the performance of the PV systems greatly influenced due to dust. Therefore, the accumulation of dust particle on the surface of solar panel affects it performance in terms of output. In this research, experimentally the electrical performances of Photo-voltaic panels are studied for the effect of deposited dust particles on the surface of panels. The efficiency and output power is calculated on the basis of obtained experimental data. Results of my study noticeably demonstrate that show that dust particles have significant impact efficiency reduction of solar photovoltaic panel.
The effect of dust on the performance of PV panel and its parameters such as power output, short circuit current, open circuit voltage, and ambient environment conditions and efficiency are studied. The percentage of reduction in efficiency, output power, short circuit current and open circuit voltage and were found in three consecutive months. The consequence of research work shows that the effect of dust decrease the performance of PV module as compare to clean PV module .
