ABSTRACT
Excessive concentration of Arsenic in drinking water resulting high level of skin and other human and animal health complications everywhere in the globe. In previous studies the highest level of Arsenic found in Taluka Sakrand t hat was an alarming situation. The aims of this research was to know exact detail assessment of Arsenic and other physio chemical and microbiological parameters of ground water in whole Taluka Sakrand district Shaheed Benazirabad Sindh, Pakistan and evaluated both studies.

In this study the majority of water sources found within acceptable limit of WHO ( 1Oppb) and NDWQS (50ppb), in old previous study stated that the highest level of arsenic found in Majeed keerio village more than 200 ppb, according to this assessment UC Majeed keerio sample is free from arsenic concentration however, UC Bhora results found 20ppb which is in acceptable limit according to National drinking water quality standards (NDWQS), however when it was compared with WHO guidelines only one union council Bhora beyond the standards. The other result of physio-chemical and biological parameters, that TDS about 33% in groundwater samples, Chloride 16%, Sulphate 33 %, Fluoride 16% Sodium 33 % hardness 8 % Iron Fe 16% Potassium K 8% and arsenic 8 % these were over the boundaries of WHO. Allowable boundaries for people and agriculture use. Likewise, pH, color taste odor Mg, Alkalinity, HC03, Calcium, Nitrate in the groundwater samples were within allowable limits for human consumption and agriculture use. The groundwater with TDS Chloride Sulphate, Fluoride Sodium Hardness Iron Fe Potassium K and arsenic were beyond WHO's permissible limits such type of water must not be used for drinking and irrigating crops. Without testing from recognized soil and water testing laboratory, the groundwater must not be used for drinking purpose. Drinking water quality of Sakrand is 50% fit for human consumption while 50% not safe for drinking purpose, keeping in view of Arsenic study. It may be
concluded that Arsenic develop from firewood burning at brick kiln/factories and power generation plants, whereas in the premises of Majeed keerio many brick factories are existing, maybe previous study sample may be collected from any nearby brick kiln site that's why arsenic level found highest in Sakrand.
