ABSTRACT
The conception of video streaming over the internet is growing clay by day. Users use several Platforms to share their emotions, memories, moments in the form or videos.
Users expect from vendors to provide rich multimedia content that can satisfy their expectation level and provide better Quality of Experience. Quality of Experience has recently become a vast area of research, it is used to measure how well that network is satisfying the end users requirements in terms of efficiency, enjoyment, satisfaction and effectiveness. The aim of this study is to determine user's satisfaction level on three layers. At network Layer, we manipulated the video by applying the impact of packet loss and packet reorder using NetEm, to analyze user's impact on QoE. At server layer we determined the video compression level at Facebook, Vimeo and Google+ and also analyzed user's impact on QoE on videos compressed by social networks. At client layer. the assessment of user's QoE is conducted by evaluating the performance of three web browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer). We took subjective test at each layer, by conducting different experiments with the users and ask the users to assign ratings on the provided questionnaires, and from those ratings we calculated results in the form of Mean Opinion Score.
