ABSTRACT

Gas flaring from plume dispersion is one of the major issues of main pollutants throughout the world, which produces harmful effects on Environment and human health of peoples throughout the world. Qadir Pur Gas field located near Ghotki.
Currently 35 wells of Qadir Pur Gas field are in production & around 1OMMSCFD gas is being flared which is the major Plume Dispersion. In oil, natural gas & petrochemical industries main Plume Dispersion is a form of Flaring. Flaring is a process of burning of gas in order to manage the disposal of waste hydrocarbon products from production processes or it is way of emergency use. This burning occurs at the end of flare stack or boom. Flaring releases some hazards gases that are harmful for Human health. Due to flaring high prevalence of disease like difficulty in breathing, conjunction in chest, burning & irritations body and tropical i.e. ophthalmic issues occur.
This research has been focused on effects of gas flaring on human health living in the vicinity of Qadir Pur Gas Field Ghotki. In this research deterioration of ambient air quality by the production of nitrogen, carbon, and sulfur oxides due to gas flaring has been investigated & their emerging health hazards have been monitored. Ambient air pollutants increase from the permissible air quality standards as whole. The present research focus on air pollutant, health impact in vicinity of Qadir Pur Gas field and research also recommended the mitigation plan. From our research it has been revealed that ambient air pollutants significantly increase from air quality standards
such as S02 slightly increase from 0.5 to 0.16 PPM, CO increase from 35 to 53 and N02increase from .092 to .037 PPM. These significant increase in air pollution directly impact on human health and surrounding environment. Secondly this study
revealed most of area is pollutant and facing skin disease, asthma, respiratory disease, eye disease and cough due to concentration of air pollutant in surrounding area of Qadir Pur Gas field.
