ABSTRACT
Student learning process has changed with the use of information technology. For computerizing all the processes of educational institutes, computerized campus management systems (CCMS) are being used. CCMS provide campus vide integrated information systems, covering all learning areas and administrative tasks including admissions. examination, finance etc. Institutions in developing countries use semi-automated methodology for completing administrative tasks. ln semi automated system employee use 'some computerized application along with manual
registers to perform their daily routine tasks. In this research a comparative analysis between semi-automated and fully automated system is done in order to quantify the benefits of fully automated system over semi-automated system. For fully automated system (CCMS) an application is developed first, in which all administrative and educational task are done through CCMS. Outcome of semi-automated and fully automated system are compared in three different areas, which are Admission System (AMS), Attendance System (AM) and Notification System (NS) on the basis of cost, time and transparency. Result proves that CCMS performs better in cost, time and transparency. finally guidelines are also suggested for moving from semi automated system to fully automated system.
