ABSTRACT

This scientific research focuses on the estimation of solar radiation & wind energy data. This data contains different weather parameters such as wind speed, wind direction, temperatures, atmospheric pressure, humidity and solar radiation etc,
these sets were were collected from different sources ' such as Pakistan meteorological department, NASA for the period of several years, and will also be measured using weather station of Energy and Environment engineering department, QUEST Nawabshah for the period of 9 months. The measured and
collected data was separately studied in statistical software named as

'SPSS' (Service Product for Statistical Solutions). In this study, the area of
Nawabshah was selected. It was observed that the solar energy has a greater potential as of wind energy for this area. This study shall give a probabilistic data for prolonged period of time, which is even not measured and collected. It uses real data to inform simulations in the future.
The comparative study has also conducted among three different data sources. The results from NASA's data were over-casted 9.84% from the measured mean data and data from PMD over-weighed 6.52% from the measured parameters. The yearly average wind speed was observed 8.75 km/h (2.43 mis) as wind energy potential of Nawabshah region and the intensity of solar radiation is more than 580 W/m2 (per day of day-length hours). For the findings in this research work, the
average method of Arithmetic Mean is utilized.
