ABSTRACT
The world of composite materials is constantly improving by the introduction of new materials with improved characteristics for most up-to-date developments in the engineering applications. The latest issue iii development of composite materials is focused on improvement of material's mechanical properties, light weight, high heat resistance and least cost of production in applications, Jn this research work, composite material specimens have been developed by hand layup (HLU) process and that HLU process is to be developed locally in mechanical engineering laboratories for developing natural fiber reinforced composites. HLU system will be simple in which samples will be developed by transferring the resin manually, the natural fiber brown grass broom will be added different fraction rate with matrix material in the Mould then resin will be poured for developing different samples needed for testing their mechanical characteristics at available material testing machines,
At first pure vinyl ester samples has developed and tested and the second 10%, 20%
,30% and 40% brown grass broom rods has been mixed as reinforcement agent in matrix material vinyl ester for assessment of tensile strength and developed samples are also considered under ambient conditions for curing period of 07-Day, 14-Day and 28-Day. In testing it was found that weave orientation and proper fraction rate of mixing fiber material in matrix material play important role in development of composite. It is observed that some mechanical properties of sample weaved at 0/90°
orientation has gain improve against obtained mechanical values of o0, 90° oriented.
samples. The 40: 60% fraction ratio of composition is also seen enhanced against 10:90%, 20:80% and 30:70% fractions. The sample formed by adding 40% fiber at 0190° orientation shows mechanical properties as compare with other closely related natural fiber reinforced materials, like; cotton fiber (UD & MD), sisal and kevelar
oriented composites.
