ABSTRACT
Modem database management systems are complex programs which get user queries, translate them in internal representation necessary for data access and provide results in best possible way; that is, results which take less execution-time and consume less resource. However, as data is increasing at rapid pace so there is always a need for developing better systems which meet user's requirements. Better systems can only be developed if internal working is understood very well. This thesis presents a tool that helps in understanding how user queries are translated in internal representation.
Thesis also presents a discussion on which plans are better in terms of execution time and possibly consumption of resources.
