General note ABSTRACT<br/><br/>Low-emission fuels are one way to put the notion of sustainability into practice, and researchers are devoted to exploring cost-effective and sustainable energy sources therefore Biomass is thought to be a potential source of low-emission fuels. Biomass is one of the most appealing energy sources due to its carbon-neutrality. Moreover, biomass produces less SOx and NOx than coal and fossil fuels due to its lower Sulphur and nitrogen content.<br/><br/>This study aims to Analyze the mineral elements and ash melting behavior of agricultural crop wastes. therefore, in this study; Initially agricultural waste like cotton stalk and wheat straw analyzed for determining the minerals content and compared with each other. The thermogravimetric technique was used to determine the mineral content of ash in compliance of EN ISO 18122 standards. Moreover, for determination of ash melting behavior of agricultural crop wastes initial deformation temperature and fluid temperature muffle furnace was used. Impacts of flue gas emission on air quality during the open burning of agricultural crop wastes were analyzed with the help of flue gas analyzer. By comparing the results of both samples, Mineral analysis shows that wheat straw contains less amount of mineral content as compared to the cotton stalk and wheat straw also having smaller amount of flue gas emission. Therefore, wheat straw is more suitable than cotton stalk, but due to lower deformation temperature wheat straw can only be used in low thermal applications. However, cottons stalk can be used high temperature applications, but minerals content, should be extracted before use at industrial levels.
