General note ABSTRACT<br/><br/><br/>At present, t he gradual progression of the Internet, makes it a distinct necessity to transit from Internet Protocol v4 (JPv4) to the Internet Protocol v6 (IPv6). IPv6 is considered to be a solution for various limitations faced by IPv4. These limitations consists of issues such as address space exhaustion, stateful auto-configuration of IP parameters, segmentation, security and more. The Routing Protocols that are used to forward traffic across the global network, must adapt to support this gradual transition. The most frequently deployed IGRPs for fPv6 are RIPng, EIGRPv6, OSPFv3, and IS-ISv6 routing protocols. The choice of a suitable routing protocol for implementation is an important part of every network design. During this implementation , several decisions, based on some quantitative parameters are considered in order to select the best routing protocol(s) for development.<br/>A various number of researchers have compared the performance of RrP, EIGRP, and OSPF on various QoS parameters both in fPv4 and IPv6 environments. However, few researchers have assesed the performance of fPv6 routing protocols, but not all the performance parameters are evaluated. Therefore, a performance comparison of RIPng, EIGRPv6, OSPFv3, and IS-ISv6 is conducted under both TCP and UDP traffic scenarios for the QoS parameters of convergence times, network throughput, end-to-end delays, and packet loss in an IPv6 enterprise Network. To achieve the objectives of this research work, multiple scenarios are tested to evaluate the performance of IPv6 routing protocols against the chosen parameters. Overall simulation results have shown that EIGRPv6 performed better than RIPng, OSPFv3, and IS-1Sv6 on the basis of lowest convergence time, maximum network throughput and lesser end-to-end delays in TCP traffic scenarios. While, for the UDP traffic testings, JS-1Sv6 proved to be a preeminent choice with better network throughput, lowest amount of IPv6 traffic loss and end-to-end delays.<br/>
