General note ABSTRACT<br/><br/>The Creator of this universe has balanced all the heavenly bodies with forces, while force originates from energy, energy is the basic requirement for every living organism, even the non-living do need some form of energy to do work or move. Biomass is form of energy which has been utilized by living organism since the advent of life on earth, the first source human is utilizing is biomass. My beloved homeland Pakistan is an agricultural country. Agriculture is the back-bone of our economy. More than 60% of our population is directly or indirectly involved with agriculture. Pakistan is a rice exporting country, rice is one of the major crop of Pakistan and Sindh.<br/><br/>The districts of Larkano and Kamber Shahdadkot of Sindh are well known for their rice production, there are 376 of Rice Processing Mills. Rice Husk (RH) which is by-product of rice milli ng process is produced here in bulk quantity that is<br/>300.8 thousand tons. In this region RH is being utilized inefficiently for baking of clay bricks, with not known proper energy value, potential quantity or potential as alternative fuel and other physical and chemical properties of RH. The research work was carried on RH. lt was found that RH possesses low quantity of moisture 6.34%, high quantity of volatile matter 60.32% that shows it is good quality fuel as biomass. The other biomass of major crops of Sindh province estimates quantity is 8641 thousand Tons (Th.Tons). The RH of study area has potential of 36 MWe while other biomass of Sindh province has 1,165 MWe. If RH biomass is utilized for power generation to replace furnace oil in same amount of energy, the financial benefits are estimated to be PKR. 3,440 millions (34.40 million $) in terms of fuel cost. The RH being low Sulfur 0.19% that causes less emission of S02, it is C02 negative environmental friendly fuel. Besides all these benefits, utilization of RH<br/>for energy will make our country energy secure. Furthermore there will be industrial growth at town and village level, while our agro-economy will be strengthened.<br/>further.
