General note ABSTRACT

Due to increasing demand of electrical power supply and shortage of natural fuel, there is necessity to use the renewable energy resources. World has solar photovoltaic
energy potentials due to ease of availability and huge amount of potential, to meet out its ever increasing energy demand. This research introduces the performance and operation of a Photovoltaic module, to provide in detail analysis of the semiconductor physics and the photovoltaic phenomena. The Photovoltaic module modeling and simulation are introduced on Photovoltaic devices are followed by, which is the main
Objective of this research.

With the help of MATLAB / Simulink software package the performance of a Photovoltaic module with respect to environmental conditions as insolation and temperature are presented. The simulated model is explained in MATLAB Simulink block libraries, a simple useable icon and a dialog box, which is depending upon the effect of sunlight insolation and cell temperature. The output characteristics (current with respect to voltage and power with respect to voltage) of Photovoltaic module are observed and optimized using the simulated models. These models are used to study variations in effects of different parameters on the Photovoltaic cell/ module with
Operating temperature and solar irradiation level. Matching of output results 0 f the Photovoltaic characteristics curves with the observed results show the validity of this research work.
