Among the wide variety or communication networks, from wireless category MANET’s have realized their importance and presence with their usage of different purposes depending on situation based usage. Due to short lived nature, MANETs are selected to be deployed in conditions where routine communication networks do not support the situation because of temporary and ad hoc conditions. Although in last few years a lot of' work has been conducted on implementation of MANETSs and their use but still including their deployment conditions security, routing, cross layer. MAC, battery life, network rage and above all Qos are main issues to be addressed in depth for future research.
This piece of work contributes towards optimization of QoS based on bandwidth reservation. To support the argument, the work has been conducted for designing a QOS Model (termed as Memon Quality of Service Model “MQoSM") and for design it was kept in mind that attributes like shaping of packets, admission control, queuing, classification of data, policing for traffic, etc., must be addressed. To support the model certain, premeditated mechanisms have been designed for different categories of traffic to reserve the resources on different paths and proactive mode of routing was adapted to implement the policies. For doing all this. The management plan has been designed and implemented with contract enforce conditions both for network and user to be followed strictly. Verification of the model has been performed by creating a virtual environment by simulating two types of networks; small and large, with different conditions of deployment with respect to load and range. Finally to prove the universal validation of the model, an extensive comparative analysis have been made to compare the results of proposed model with results of most popular QoS models given in related work and research review. The results have been compared with the best results given by reputable researchers in literature for simulations of different QoS models such as FQMM, LQoS, SWVAN, INSIGNIA, etc. The results prove its universal validation in sense that the proposed MQoSM model, with all its resource reservation policies and route selection mechanisms, works for all types and categories of MANETs environments.
