In general. road freight emissions contributes more in developing world as compared to developed nations due to lack of pollution controlling measures, proper and better road infrastrucrures, well established vehicle monitoring mechanism , check and balance in fuel quality and proper implementations of environmental related la\\S and regulations. Tue main objective of this study was to measure and estimate the level of carbon dioxide emissions from road freight transport at Port Qasim and at different toll plazas (i.e. Hyderabad and Hub toll plaza) across Sindh province respectively. For achieving such estimation , freight transport data was collected and then self-counted to compare and validate the data. The counting of freight transport was done on the basis of vehicle type such as nonĀ articulated (i.e. 2-9-Axle trucks) and Articulated trucks. It was revealed from the study that measured C02 at Port Qasim as well as estimated C02 level across Sindh province was more than world Health Organization standards of 369 ppm. It is concluded that the C02 emissions are found more than standards and need to be continuously monitored and strong controlling measures must be taken by the respective authorities to minimize its level and to protect public as well as general environment. aDepartment of Energy and Environment Engineering uhttp://tinyurl.com/bdducb2b cTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2020-03-16l0pMP/56-711r2020-03-16 00:00:00yTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2024-01-09l0pMP/59-755r2024-01-09 00:00:00w2024-01-09yTHESIS
