ABSTRACT

Document management is a big issues for all government institutes now a days because in this modern technological world approximately everything has been electronic. Manual document management is not a safe way it may be results the loss or employees important information. Handling huge amount of information is also a big problem, to keep huge amount of information means organizations need much more human resources for paperwork also cost, time, efficiency needed. According to their need and context. So, the aim of this research study was to develop and automated software application and implement in Higher Education Institutions of Pakistan . This is a fact that fully automated system are beneficial over manual and semi-computerized systems. Whereas it is also a question that how much fully automated system are beneficial over a manual or semi-computerized systems, but the implementation issues could be barriers of such type of a system to switch from manual or semi-computerized system to fully automated system whose answer is tried to find out in this study. A computerized electronic record management system (ERMS) was developed and evaluated the app through the 60 employees of HEI 's of Pakistan in Nawabshah. The data collected through two questionnaires form the participants, one for the satisfaction of the of ERMS app and second for the implementation issues of ERMS app. According to the results, all the participants have reported that the app is easy to use, a ll the participants were equally satisfied with the application but on other end they reported that all groups were facing all mentioned issues equally which were became the barriers between successful implementation of ERMS application. The results are promising ; in future an experiment  would be conducted to for the successful  implementation of Electronic Record Management System.
