Today 90% of all industrial motor appllication use three phase induction motor. In industrial applications, three phase Squirrel cage induction motors are mostly used due to their simple construction, self starting mechanism , low cost, high reliability, requires low maintenance and high efficiency. This project is based on experimental design the model of induction motor in laboratory and to develop the model of three phase induction motor in Matlab/Simulink to analyze its characteristics, such as its torque speed characteristics torque current characteristics and speed- current characteristics at various torque values. In this research experimental result of induction motor has been verified with simulation results of same characteristics. By using software such as Matlab/Simulink, this research is applicable from small machine level to industrial machine level. So for the simulation the computer program Matlab/Simulink was used. A main advantage of this research is to understand the operation behavior of induction motors at different characteristics such as torque speed characteristics, torque current characteristics and current speed characteristics. So it can be easily operated the three phase induction on the satisfactory performance according to the load requirement. It helps us to efficiently design the model of induction motor for industrial loads. In this research experimental modeling techniques and software modeling techniques such as Matlab/Simulink has been used, to analyze its various characteristics at different loads. When experimental and simulation results are compared with each other, it has been observed that small variation in simulated and experimental data, which is upto 0.4%. It has been proved that the simulation results are verified and it shows in good agreement with each other. So this concludes that the Matlab/Simulink is more reliable as compare to experimental results and way to analyze the operating behavior of induction motor at different load values UR - https://tinyurl.com/4akek7ku ER -
