Many smartphone applications have also been developed for online streaming. The quality of such online streams depend on the various factors such as network speed and the protocol design. The network speed could be managed, whereas the protocol re-design requires so many efforts for the optimized performance. In order to design a new protocol it is necessary to understand the network conditions by monitoring the network traffic. The thesis presents a detailed analysis of the network traffic over streamsĀ·of video and audio. For that, the most widely used protocol i.e., TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is used. For the experimentation a tested have been implemented, which consists of a Remote PC and a Host PC. The PCs are placed at different rooms. Different scenarios are proposed to stream video and audio from Remote PC to the Host PC. The basic TCP parameters monitored are Retransmission , Fast Retransmission, spurious retransmission, duplicate Packets, keep alive packets, lost segments, and out-of-order and RTO packets. Two famous remote desktop tools, TeamViewer and AeroAdmin, are used for the streaming and the Wireshark is used for the analysis of network traffic. From the evaluation of the remote desktop tools it is observed that, the bad TCPs parameters in TeamViewer are less when compared with the Aeroadmin. aDepartment of computer system engineering faculty of electrical, electronic and computer system engineering uhttp://tinyurl.com/azuz6kts cTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2019-07-01l0oR/IMS-19pMP/41-452r2019-07-01 00:00:00yTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2023-12-14l0oR/IMS-19pMP/50-604r2023-12-14 00:00:00w2023-12-14yTHESIS
