OPNET is a discreet event simulator that simulates different wireless networks against different parameters. For this study, several parameters such as upload response time, download response time, total routing traffic, throughput, end-to-end delay, PDR, average number of hops per route and the route discovery time have been considered. Various simulation results have been achieved that can be used for researchers and academician to further select, design and compare other routing protocols as per the requirements of their applications/networks. In this thesis, comparison of two networks is performed the large network consists of 100 nodes whereas the small network consists of 50 nodes. The results show that AODV performs better than DSR and TORA both in the large and in small networks; however, the upload response time of TORA is less than other protocols in the small network. On a whole, AODV performs consistently better than SR and TORA regardless the size of the network. aDepartment of Information Technology uhttps://tinyurl.com/mry6k5xf cTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2018-10-03l0pMP/26-283r2018-10-03 00:00:00yTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2018-10-11l0pMP/14--138r2018-10-11 00:00:00yTHESIS
