Power electronics converters which are nonlinear devices are the main cause of harmonic generation. When these non-linear devices are connected the supply network they do not draw a sinusoidal current from the supply but the current contains a variety of harmonics these harmonics could destroy certain sensitive equipment connected to the grid could cause them to mall function. Converters are power processing consist of passive components and circuit topology changes as these power electronic switches vary as a function of time under the influence of the controller therefore it is very difficult to analyze circuit states in a close form as a function of time but with the help of computer simulation it becomes possible and easier to develop theses circuit models. The laboratory based power rectifier converters are studied and investigated in detail in order to achieve the results with their real data. All the parameters obtained from these results have been used to develop the software models and to compare their accuracy with laboratory models. Finally, the harmonics generated by the power converters have been studied and concluded using GUI FFf tool of SimPowerSystems. The performance with accuracy, simplicity and economy is the main advantage of this project which is investigated and verified with its results as satisfactory. UR - https://tinyurl.com/yc8hahev ER -
