MANETs go through dynamic topology where nodes need to perfor m the self- management. New nodes jo in the part of an existing network once they are interconnected during a session. A mob ile node in MANET frequently changes its links to other devices, because the nodes can do the self-manage ment in the network frequently. Mobile nodes in JvIANETs can receive and forward packets while p laying the role as a router. Nodes in :MANET must be within the area of influence of the transmission range. The highly dynamic topology in MANET is the core cause of many issues in the performance of routing protocols. The topology may also change due to link failures. This thesis evaluates different routing protocols for MANETs For the simulation purpose some of the widely used protocols are used. The protocols used are AODV, DSDV, OLSR and GPSR. The analysis of the obtained results suggested the choice of protocol for networks with small as well as large number of nodes. aDepartment of Computer System Engineering uhttps://tinyurl.com/2ksruzw2 cTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2018-05-17l0pMP/17-167r2018-05-17 00:00:00yTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbREFd2023-03-27l0pMP/30-338r2023-03-27 00:00:00w2023-03-27yTHESIS
