<subfield code="a">ABSTRACT

The world of composite materials is constantly improving by the introduction of new materials with improved characteristics for most up-to-date developments in the engineering applications. The latest issue in development of composite materials is focused on enhancement of material mechanical characteristics, such as light weight, high heat resistance and least cost of production in applications, the composite material specimens have been developed by vacuum assisted resin transfer moulding system (VARTM) process and that VARTM system has been locally developed by alumnae at mechanical engineering laboratories for developing natural and synthetic fiber reinforced composites. VARTM system is very simple in which samples were developed by transferring the resin by vacuuming the inside pressure of mould against outside pressure. The green net (GN) weaved at 0-90° and ±45° orientations has been reinforced with matrix material in the mould, later resin was vacuumed inside the mould for developing different laminated samples, which samples were tested to study mechanical characteristics at available material testing machines.
At first plain vinyl ester samples has developed and tested and the second green net of different weave forms of 0/90° and ±45° has been reinforced layer by layer (1- Layer, 2-layer & 4-layer) as reinforcement agent in matrix material vinyl ester for assessment of tensile strength. In testing it was found that weave orientation material in matrix material play important role in development of composite. It was observed that the specimens of 0/90° orientation and ±45° orientation possess improved mechanical properties such as Tensile Strength [MPa], MOE [MPa] and tensile elongation [%] over closely related composites.
