Every living thing needs water in order to survive. The ground water is necessary for both animal and plant kingdom and also for agricultural and industrial needs. Today, the available ground water is not fulfilling the necessary of human beings. The groundwater quality is as important as its quantity. Quality of ground water should be checked area to area and time to time. The quality was assessing in terms of physicochemical parameters. In this study Setharja city was selected to check the ground water quality. In this regard the physic-chemical properties of groundwater from various locations in Setharja city were analyzed. For this purpose, twelve locations were selected and samples were taken using clean and disinfected sample bottles. These samples were tested in laboratory as per referred literature to determine the ground water quality parameters and then compared with the standard values of water parameters. The obtained result revealed that the study area has values of Turbidity, Temperature, PH, Total Hard ness, Calcium, Magnesium, Chlorine, Sulphate, Total dissolved solid and Electric Conductivity are within the range of WHO standard. However, it is concluded that the parameters from the water samples were within WHO limit for ground water which satisfy the safety limit for its use for various purposes like domestic, agricultural, and industrial and so on. This study will be helpful for the locality about the ground water quality. aDepartment of Civil Engineering uhttps://tinyurl.com/3psp4xma cTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2016-11-28l0pMP/10-110r2016-11-28 00:00:00yTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2018-09-25l0pMP/25-265r2018-09-25 00:00:00yTHESIS
