In order to maintain and improve the quality by reduction in defects then statistical tool is being used by any organization. There are many statistical tools available to assess the quality. Keeping in view the importance of many statistical tools, traditional seven quality control tools have been used in any manufacturing and automobile company. Therefore the seven quality control tools have been successfully applied at HINO Pak Ltd, HINO Pak Ltd situated at North Nazimabad Mangopir road Karachi. Preliminary survey has been done for the implementation of seven quality control tools in the assembly line of HINO Pak Ltd. During preliminary survey three inspection points were decided to collect the data, which are Chassis line, trim line and Paint shop. The data for defects at Chassis line, trim line and Paint shop were collected for reduction in defects which ultimately impart on productivity improvement. Every seven quality control tools was beneficial that was observed from the results. The flow chart developed for better understanding about inspection points from which data easily collected. The check sheet developed for helps in defects data collection. Histogram represents the severity level of defect. Pareto chart shows the cumulative effect of defects. The cause-and-effect diagram is very beneficial. tool for finding the root cause of defects. Scatter diagram show the defects increasing or decreasing rate and finally the Np-control chart helps the points beyond the limits need to be rectified. It was observed from the results that Cause and Effect diagram proved to be effective one to improve the defects level for productivity improvement .The successful implementation of seven quality control tools at the inspection points concluded the considerable amount of reduction on defects level, as in chassis line from 512 to 71 the total 85% defects were reduced, in trim line defects were reduced from 248 to 57 means total 75% defects were reduced and in paint shop the defects reduced from 155 to 47 the total 70% defects were reduced. aDepartment of Mechanical Engineering uhttps://tinyurl.com/2p9y2yhu cTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2016-11-24l0pMP/15-153r2016-11-24 00:00:00yTHESIS 00104070aRESEARCHbRESEARCHd2018-10-02l0pMP/29-332r2018-10-02 00:00:00yTHESIS
