  <note>ABSTRACT

Mostly rainfall in Pakistan is very low and irregular in sindh, from 1970's sindh Pakistan is facing flood and storm rain by an interval of two decays, rainfall occurs from July to September in monsoon period. The storm originates in Bay of Bengal move
Northwest wildly across the genagnatic plains and with passage of time reaches Indus
Plains. In (20 I I ) heavy rainfall l caused a high damage because of improper disposals of run-off insufficient and chocked drainage system caused stagnancy of surface as well as ground water and badly impacted on infrastructure buildings, roads, agriculture human and animal life. Flood s if not mitigated in time are most serious environmental disasters to the country. It needs a careful and wise policy planning and formulation of strategies to com bat floods and control destruction which they cause. It was therefore deemed to take up this project and investigate the actual pros and cons of the heavy downpour
Destruction and formulate some intensive strategies to mitigate such calamity in future without much damage of epitome of this research project is highlighted.
In this research-work we count affected city (Shaheed Benazirabad) and collected data from different sources including NGO 's and Governmental Departments and checked out historical point of view and then finally provide solutions regarding to (social and technical) effects of heavy rain water and flood.
